Bridging the Digital Divide

Today, almost anything can be done quickly and efficiently online. But many of our students do not have access to technology as basic as a computer, printer, or fax machine. At BLCI, students bridge the digital divide, and access a world of opportunity.

Homework

Students can edit term papers, write (and save) essays for contests and applications, and use computer programs to design presentations, videos, and projects that demonstrate their unique abilities and ideas.

Exploration

Students discover a world of knowledge through the internet – they reserve library books and communicate with online tutors. Students can also explore college websites safely, under the supervision of BLCI staff members.

Practical College Steps

Students and families complete online applications for college, financial aid, scholarships, and internship and job opportunities, an essential step in college preparation and success.
